Basil Pesto

TOOLS YOU NEED

  • Abbio Small Nonstick Skillet
  • Abbio Sauce Pan
  • Blender
  • Measuring cups / spoons 
  • Mixing bowl
  • Cutting board
  • Chef's knife 
  • Grater 

    PREP

    • Lightly toast pine nuts on Small Abbio Skillet.
    • Mince garlic.
    • Bring 3 cups of water to boil in Abbio Sauce Pan. 

    RECIPE DIRECTIONS

    • Blanch basil and parsley in boiling water for 20 seconds. 
    • Remove and place into ice water.
    • Squeeze excess water from herbs, and chop.
    • Add herbs, pine nuts, oil, garlic, salt and pepper to blender and blend until well combined.
    • Add the cheese and blend to mix.
    • Taste and salt, pepper, cheese, or more oil as desired.
    • Enjoy on your favorite pasta shape, bread, or grilled meat!
