Cleaning Abbio: Nonstick

The ease of Abbio Nonstick really comes through when it's time to clean. After all, the feature is in the name. Abbio Nonstick will be the easiest pan you've ever cleaned.

General Cleaning

Let your cookware cool to room temperature. Running cold water over a hot pan can cause it to warp over time.

After the pan has cooled, wash it with warm water, soap, and a gentle brush or sponge. Definitely avoid using abrasive scrubbers like metal scouring pads or steel wool, as they will ruin you nonstick surface. Abbio Nonstick is 100% dishwasher safe, but be aware that your water source and detergents may leave unwanted (but harmless) residue on the pan.

Dry the cookware with a clean cloth so you don’t end up with water stains. You’re all done.

The outside of my Abbio has lost its new-cookware shine

Lightly wet the outside your cookware. Then sprinkle the surface with a bleach-free cleaner like Bar Keepers Friend or baking soda from your cabinet. Rub the paste into the cookware with a sponge or nylon scrubbing pad. Rinse with soapy water and dry with a clean cloth

Even with perfect care, nonstick cookware will slowly lose its nonstick properties over long periods of time. When you've used your nonstick cookware hundreds of times and eggs are not sliding around like they used it, there's still hope. It turns out you can season your nonstick cookware and bring back some of the slippery-ness.

Start by rubbing a small amount of oil into the surface. You want to use a high temperature oil for this like canola oil. Stay away from olive oil for this process. Next, put your Abbio in the oven at 350 degrees for an hour. Pull it out of the oven and let it come back to room temperature. Gently rinse the pan with water only and wipe it dry with a paper towel. Next time you cook with your Abbio Nonstick, you'll notice the difference. You can make this seasoning last longer by avoiding soap when you rinse out your nonstick pans, and you can also repeat this process as often as needed.
